Crack in the Sky

The tree buds are beginning to smile and the Sun is warming the air

and slowly begins to surround our bodies that have been put through a winter's scare.

The skies that have been so Grey seem to be fighting to keep the blue away.

Just a small crack in the sky is all we need to get rid of the frost that seems to be covering us everyday.

It is not just us who have been waiting for these special days but also the birds whom are finally tweeting a melody of spring and finally begin building a place to nest.

The first Robin that I see gives me an assurance that Springtime is here.

I believe the blue in a Robins egg comes from a Springtime crack in the sky.

Black and White

The sunglasses come off as the sun becomes a stranger, and even if it peaks out it's not enough to make me see the colors that were meant to be.

It must be winter and my vision has transformed to only black and white.

The colors that were so bright are now  different shades of cold gray charcoal, and now  cannot illuminate my sight.

That must be why I put away my sunglasses until Spring suppresses Winter's black and white

Hawaiian Chips

I have an Hawaiian ring that surrounds my finger. Chips of Pearly Shells glisten all around.

They remind me of the waves that sparkle in the hula dancing sea. Turquoise and blue are the colors that I see and never appear when there is an angry sea.

The pearly shells on my ring are separated by a circle of wood that is earthy Kauai brown. It serves to remind me that the land and sea are connected as one.

This ring can only mean one thing, that marriage has two special people coming together as one.

Rythm in the Air

I see palm trees crouched and standing straight and tall. The trunks pierce the Earth and have no movement at all except for a shimmy of Palm leaves dancing with no effort at all.

The feather like movement of branches seem to be choreographed by the Breeze as they dance to the music that I could hardly hear but now feel in my soul.

They seem to invite me to slip away into another world where nothing matters except the Rhythm in the air and the relaxing feeling that the palm trees give to us all.

Eye for an Eye

What does a raindrop see when it falls from the sky?  Does it look up or down or all around? I don't know but I do know it has no choice where it falls.

Will the raindrop have a smile as
it dances to a dry thirsty ground

or will it have a frown as it
plummets to a raging River
passing through a little town?

The rain drop has no choice when it floods many a place,

but it also has given a needed breath.

The rain drop closes
its eyes as it continues
to tomball to the ground
and splashes onto the earth to give new life.
